How "For you" ranks

This platform has a ranked feed. Rather than deny it, here is the entire formula, generated from the same constants the server uses — if this page and the code ever disagreed, this page would be wrong, so it is produced from the code itself. Ranking reorders; it never removes. Every live post appears in Latest in strict reverse-chronological order, for everyone, always. There is no demotion, no shadow ban, no quality classifier and no engagement-prediction model.

Recency Every post starts at full weight and halves every 36 hours. Nothing else outranks time by much.

Your circles Posts in circles you joined are multiplied by 1.5. You chose those circles, so this is your decision, not a prediction about you.

Sourced A post with a citation is multiplied by 1.3. Evidence rises; unsourced experience is never hidden.

Unanswered questions A question nobody has answered is multiplied by 1.4, so asking does not go into a void.

Author honor Up to 1.2x for members who have helped others. Honor comes from contribution, never from purchases.

Helped count A small logarithmic nudge, so a post that helped many is slightly easier to find. Deliberately weak — it is the signal most easily gamed.

Scores are computed over the most recent 240 posts. Honor is earned by contributing and by helping other members — never by purchasing anything.
